A scuffle broke out between the players in the tunnel as Wilshere attempted to confront Mirallas, who had aimed his drink over his shoulder, towards Wilshere, with the liquid splashing in his face.
The newspaper adds that Wilshere and his Arsenal teammates were already riled after an opening 45 minutes in which Everton put in a number of physical challenges, including one from Darron Gibson on Theo Walcott that Arsene Wenger said should have brought a second yellow card for the Everton player.
Everton manager David Moyes however dismissed suggestions that his players were heavy-handed, pointing out that tackling is allowed in football. Moyes added that after the draw left Everton four points behind Arsenal and two off Chelsea, who are fourth, he would be content to qualify for the Europa League this season.
Moyes’ side still have to play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, in the final round of league fixtures, and also face a trip to Anfield to play Liverpool in the Merseyside derby before the end of the season.
