Despite being linked with a move to the Premier League, Edinson Cavani says he is only concerned with playing for Napoli, reports the ESPN
Following an impressive goal scoring year, the 26-year-old has been linked with a move away from Italy to the Premier League with Manchester City and Chelsea both mentioned, along with possible moves to other top European clubs including Real Madrid.
The Uruguayan forward scored 29 goals for Napoli in Serie A this campaign, which saw them finish runners-up, as well as netting seven goals in the Europa League. The prolific forward has also picked up 47 caps for his country, appearing in the memorable 2010 World Cup campaign as well as featuring in last year’s Olympic Games.
But the South American says that he is more than happy with his career with Napoli, who he joined in 2010. “Real Madrid, Chelsea and [Manchester] City are interested in me? I just think about Napoli,” he said.
“If an important offer were to come in, I would talk with president De Laurentiis. I’m fine in Italy, I have grown as a man there and as a player with the Serie A experience.”
