Galatasaray are set to test Arsenal’s resolve with a big money bid for Gunners forward Lukas Podolski, according to reports
Podolski was reported to have rowed with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger in April, resulting in talk of a move away from the Emirates, and the new reports of a £12m move to Turkey could test the desire of the London club to keep the Germany international.
The striker, who has 44 goals for his country, has found the net only once in his past 10 outings for Arsenal, with his total standing at nine league goals from 30 appearances this season.
Podolski is set to undergo ankle surgery in the Summer for a persistent complaint that has seen him struggle for fitness throughout the season. He should however be fit enough to play some some part in Arsenal’s last three remaining fixtures in the chase for Champions League football.
