Chelsea attacker Juan Mata has praised Interim-manager Rafa Benitez for his work at the club, and insists the season can still be a success, reports the Telegraph.
Despite exiting the FA Cup, and failing to qualify for the latter stages of the Champions League, Chelsea do face Basel on Thursday night as they look to cement a place in the Europa League final, something that might be enough to call success for Mata:
“Rafa’s a manager who did great seasons at every club he’s been at. We’re working really, really well under him. For me and the players, he’s a great manager.
“We are trying to be in third position and having a chance to win a trophy, so maybe the season in the end will look good for us and that will be because of his job.”
