QPR’s Cesar sets sights on Arsenal move

The Mirror is reporting that QPR keeper Julio Cesar appears to have a move to fellow Londoners Arsenal in his sights this summer.

The stopper has impressed critics this season despite QPR’s relegation from the Premier League, and AC Milan are also thought to be keen to take the Brazilian back to Serie A, where he has previously played for Inter Milan.

Cesar’s representatives reportedly sounded Arsenal out about his availability shortly before he moved to Loftus Road, but with QPR now facing Championship football next season Cesar is understood to be keen to leave.

Cesar joined the club on a free and it is also thought that QPR would be willing to let the custodian leave in a cut price move in order to get his £70k weekly wages off the books, and Rangers officials are convinced that he will move to North London in the summer.

Cesar is not the only man on Arsene Wenger’s radar, however, as he has a shortlist that includes Stoke keeper Asmir Begovic, Stuttgart’s Sven Ulreich and Hamburg’s coveted keeper Rene Adler.
