Liverpool look set to complete the signing of Sevilla forward Luis Alberto, with the striker believed to have undergone a medical at Anfield on Friday, writes Sky
The 20-year-old is now set to sign a four-year deal at the club, with the transfer fee understood to have been agreed at around £7m.
The news shows just how busy boss Brendan Rodgers looks set to be during the summer transfer window. He has already agreed to sign Kolo Toure on a free transfer from Man City, and has a deal in place to bring Iago Aspas from Celta Vigo in a £7.7m transfer.
The club are also set to sign Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet , meaning that Alberto is likely to be the Reds’ third or fourth signing before the transfer window even opens.
Alberto was on loan at Barcelona B last season, scoring 11 goals in 36 games. The Catalan club, however, did not take up the option to sign the player on a permanent basis, allowing Liverpool to resume their interest and move in.
He has represented Spain at U-18, U-19 and U-21 level, but is yet to make his debut for the senior side.
