Highly-rated Brazilian international Leandro Damiao has said that he has not received any transfer offers from European clubs so far this summer, according to Sky
This summer has seen speculation over Damiao’s future increase, with a move to Tottenham Hotspur being constantly touted, seemingly his most likely destination if he were to move. Despite that, other clubs have also been linked, including Napoli, whose top scorer Edinson Cavani is being linked with a move away, and Atletico Madrid, as a potential replacement for Radamel Falcao, who recently left for Monaco.
Damiao, 23, has reportedly been a long-term transfer target for Spurs, who came close to signing him in January. However, he remains in his home country, playing for Internactional, with a contract which still has two years left to run. Damiao has also told Globo Esporte that he is content to remain at his club for the foreseeable future, saying: “I am an Internacional player until 2015 and I am happy.”
His impressive form for Internactional has enhanced his reputation, and while Damiao may not have been the subject of any offers yet, one might not be too far away.
