The Brazilian midfielder, 28, has impressed in his three seasons in Rome, but Lotito is keen to end any speculation of his star player making an exit from the Stadio Olimpico:
“It’s nice to know that Hernanes is sought after and liked, but we like him much more, and we have no intention to sell him. He is untouchable, and is an integral part of our plans,” he told il Messaggero.
Hernanes has scored 30 goals in three seasons from midfield, and is currently featuring for the Selacao at the Confederations Cup in Brazil, making appearances in both matches so far. He also netted in Brazil’s final warm-up game for the competition, in a 3-0 victory over France.
Lazio are set to complete a move for fellow Brazilian Felipe Anderson, from Santos, in the coming days.
