The agent of former Chelsea star Yossi Benayoun has confirmed that West Brom are one of several clubs interested in the Israeli international, reports Sky
The 33-year-old has been released by Chelsea and is consequently searching for a new club, and agent Ronen Katzev has claimed that he has received interest from another Premier League club as well, with enquiries also coming in from Germany about the possibility of a move to the continent.
Katzev said: “West Brom have registered their interest and now we are just waiting to see what other options are available. We have been negotiating with another club in the Premier League and clubs in Germany and Spain, so Yossi will have to make a decision very soon.
“He has been playing in England for a long time now so it has become like a second home to him.”
Benayoun arrived in England when he moved to West Ham in 2005, and has since gone on to sign for Liverpool and Chelsea. During his time at Stamford Bridge, he spent time on loan at Arsenal before returning to West Ham on loan in 2012 – seven years after originally moving to Upton Park.
He has won an impressive 98 caps for Israel since making his debut in 1998, and has scored 24 goals for his country.
