Chamakh linked with Arsenal exit

La Liga club Levante want to offer Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh an escape route from his Premier League nightmare, with the Moroccan apparently keen on a move.

There were rumours earlier in the year that Chamakh would favour a move back to France, and his old club Bordeaux seemed to be interested in his services once again.

However reports claim that Arsenal want to offload the front man and get his enormous £93,000-a-week wage packet off their books, and AS.com are reporting that Chamakh wants out too, with Levante looking like answering both party’s prayers. The Moroccan has scored just eight times in his Gunners career.

Arsenal may be looking to offload the striker this summer as playing opportunities have been few and far between for the 29-year-old. Even after being shipped out on loan to West Ham United the striker struggled to make an impact and made just three appearances for the Hammers.
