David De Gea wants to see Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas add to the Spain contingent at Manchester United, ESPN
An opening bid of €30m has been made but Barcelona have yet to accept or reject the offer – Tito Vilanova, the Barca Head Coach, claimed Fabregas wants to remain at the club. However, it is claimed by the Guardian that having splashed out on Neymar, Barcelona are looking to recoup some money this summer and could consent to Fabregas’ sale for that reason.
The Daily Mail, meanwhile, claims United will agree to pay £31m for Fabregas’ signature, surpassing the £30.8m the Premier League champions gave Tottenham Hotspur for Dimitar Berbatov in the summer of 2008.
De Gea though is simply focussing on the on-field situation, praising Fabregas’ ability and encouraging the former Arsenal midfielder to make his home at Old Trafford. “It would be great if Cesc came here,” De Gea said. “It would be great to have more Spanish players at Manchester United. He is a great player, very skilful, knows how to win things and you always want those type of players in your team.”
