Everton new boy Deulofeu learned from Messi at Barcelona

The Liverpool Echo are reporting that new Everton loan signing Gerard Deulofeu has claimed that training with Lionel Messi at Barcelona has aided his development massively. The young Spanish starlet signed a temporary deal with the Toffees after Roberto Martinez beat away competition from a host of other European clubs for the forward’s signature.

The 19-year-old is comes very highly rated out of Spain after scoring 18 goals for Barcelona’s B team last season. Deulofeu also made a number of first team appearances last term and said: “Training with Barcelona is a fantastic experience.
