Zenit St. Petersburg striker Hulk, who has been on the radar of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, along with big spending French side Monaco, has confirmed that there has been interest from other clubs. And while open to a move, he would also be happy to stay in Russia, ESPN
The Brazilian joined Zenit from FC Porto last summer in a big money deal, arriving at the same time as highly-rated Belgian Axel Witsel. Despite the move being relatively recent, that does not seem to have put off interest from English clubs, with Chelsea said to be long time admirers of the 26-year-old.
The recent return of Jose Mourinho also does not seem to have affected the Blues’ interest, with the club looking to increase the number of recognised strikers at Stamford Bridge. Hulk is one of many strikers operating across Europe who are said to be on Spurs’ list of targets, with their striking options limited to only Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defoe.
Hulk has responded to the speculation by telling TV Paraiba: “There are clubs interested in me.
“But if I am to move, it has to be to a better place, with a better team in a better competition. I will be happy too if I stay. Zenit are a great club.”
He scored seven goals in 18 league outings last season, and has six goals in 26 international appearances for Brazil, being part of their Confederations Cup winning side.
