Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has revealed he is pleased with the signing of Brazil midfielder Paulinho, Sky
Spurs wrapped up the signing of Paulinho after the 24-year-old impressed in Brazil’s triumphant Confederations Cup campaign, and Lloris believes the former Corinthians player is the calibre of signing needed at White Hart Lane.
“It’s a good thing for us to have a Brazil international in our team,” Lloris said, adding: “It shows that the club is still developing and improving because we can have now some great players like Paulinho.”
Bale, meanwhile, scored in Spurs’ 1-1 draw with Swindon Town on Tuesday, a game in which Lloris played the opening 45 minutes. “It’s nice to see him in good form,” Lloris said of his Welsh colleague. “But pre-season is long so we need to concentrate on our work. It’s good to see him but it’s just the beginning.”
