Luis Nani is the latest player to be targeted by big-spending Monaco, Calcio
Monaco have already splashed the cash with abandon this summer, signing James Rodriguez, Joao Moutinho and Radamel Falcao, among others, having been promoted to Ligue 1 at the end of last season.
The 2004 Champions League runners-up are financed by Dmitry Rybolovlev, a Russian businessman and one of the world’s richest men. Rybolovlev bought a majority stake in the club in December 2011 and has this summer overseen the arrival of Ricardo Carvalho and Eric Abidal on free transfers to go with his expensive purchases.
Nani has been a Man Utd player since the summer of 2007, making more than 200 appearances for the Premier League champions to date. He fell out of favour last season, however, appearing only 17 times in all competitions, and new manager David Moyes could be tempted to cash in on the Portugal international as Nani’s contract expires in 2014.
