No Man Utd offer for Cabaye, says Newcastle boss Pardew

Alan Pardew has insisted that Newcastle have not received any interest from Manchester United regarding their midfielder Yohan Cabaye, ESPN has reported.

The Magpies manager also insisted that the Frenchman is fully committed to the Tyneside club. Cabaye was linked with the Old Trafford outfit after David Moyes was confirmed as being in the market to strengthen his midfield.

It is claimed that the Red Devils are preparing a £35m bid for Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas, following the Catalans rejection of their earlier offer for the player. However if United fail with their second attempt to snatch the ex-Arsenal talisman, they will turn their attention to the North East and 27-year-old Cabaye.

Pardew though is confident of being able to keep hold of his midfield mainstay for next season, despite interest also coming from his native France, as Paris-St-Germain are also said to be keeping tabs on the player’s future.

Cabaye signed for Newcastle in the summer of 2011, and has gone on to wear the captain’s armband and make 60 appearances for the Magpies. In that time the Frenchman has scored 10 times for the club. He also has 23 international caps to his name.
