Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp is hoping to steal a march on his rivals by making an offer for Celtic star Gary Hooper, with a bid thought to be worth around £4m plus add-ons.
Hooper has been attracting attention from the Premier League with Stoke, Hull, Norwich and Cardiff City all thought to be interested in his services.
However the London
Hull manager Steve Bruce has made Hooper his top priority for the remainder of this transfer window and could return with an improved offer in the not too distant future.
Star striker Hooper, who has netted 63 times in 95 appearances for the Bhouys since 2010, has made his intentions known to Neil Lennon and the rest of the Celtic management, stating that he wants to leave this summer in order to pursue his international aspirations.
Goalkeeper Fraser Forster is also thought to be angling a move away from the SPL for the same reasons.
