Tottenham Hotspur are said to have clinched a double move for two of Europe’s most promising players, Dinamo Zagreb pair Tin Jedvaj and Alen Halilovic, according to the
Reports in Croatia say the players will remain on loan with their current club for the foreseeable future but will eventually join Spurs, following the same path as Luka Modric, who moved to White Hart Lane in 2008, spending four years in London before heading to Real Madrid last summer.
Roma have previously failed in a bid for Jedvaj, the newspaper adds, while Halilovic has been the subject of interest from Real Madrid and Arsenal, but it appears to be Tottenham who have wrapped up the signing of both players. They will remain in Zagreb until their 18th birthdays, with Jedvaj coming of age before Halilovic.
Jedvaj is a defender while Halilovic is a midfielder with Champions League experience, playing in all six of Dinamo’s group games during last season’s competition. The combined fee for the pair is said to be in the region of £15m.
