Fiorentina midfielder Adem Ljajic has indicated that he wants to move, alerting Tottenham Hotspur, who are reportedly targeting the 21-year-old Serb, according to ESPN.
Other than Spurs, Milan, Atletico Madrid, and Lyon are all monitoring Ljajic’s situation and may step in should he not agree a new deal with the Florence club, who have already sold star striker Stevan Jovetic to Manchester City this summer.
And Fiorentina’s coach, Vincenzo Montella, told Gazzetta Dello Sport: “He’s experiencing an internal conflict. He has not looked very serene in recent days. What can I say, there are economic problems which are not easy.
“I’m willing to wait, just as long as he’s serene, and today he doesn’t look all that serene. I’m still convinced that [staying with Fiorentina] would be the best solution for him.”
In an attempt to secure Ljajic’s future Fiorentina have offered to double his wages. However, should talks break down and* with his current contract running out at the end of next season, the Viola may be forced to listen to offers.
Ljajic scored 12 goals in 31 appearances in all competitions last season.
