Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has claimed that Gareth Bale may receive a fine for not turning up to training – and the Portuguese boss also confirmed that Bale will leave White Hart Lane “very soon,” Sky
Villas-Boas clarified that the reason behind the lag in negotiations between the two clubs for the Wales international is because of on-going contract talks. Reports over the last few days had claimed that the 24-year-old was furious with Spurs for the delay in talks. It was then claimed that the versatile player had failed to report for training this week.
The 35-year-old has now stated that the club will wish Bale well if the move happens, however he maintains that not turning up for training is poor form from the Welshman.
“He is obviously involved in some big transfer news at the moment, and if the transfer happens then we will wish well. But not turning up for training is not the correct behaviour,” Villas-Boas said..
Villas-Boas will now decide whether or not to fine Bale for his training ground absence. However it is now thought that Spurs will use the huge transfer kitty boost coming from the Bale deal to bring in Roma striker Erik Lamela.
