Man United look set to reignite their interest in Everton defender Leighton Baines, and boss David Moyes looks set to return to his former club with a renewed offer, according to The
United have had offers of up to £12m for the defender rejected by the Toffees, but with new Goodison boss Roberto Martinez well aware of Moyes’ hopes of a reunion with the England international a search has begun in earnest to seek a replacement – giving the Premier League champions hope that they may yet get their man.
Baines could move across the north West with team-mate Marouane Fellaini, though United’s interest in the Belgian is yet to be met with an official offer.
With Patrice Evra attracting interest from his native France, namely with Monaco, Moyes is becoming increasingly urgent in his efforts to take Baines to Old Trafford, and an increased offer will be considered sufficient to tempt the Blue half of Merseyside to talk business.
