Man Utd target Marchisio wants to end career with Juventus

Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio has said that he would like to remain with the Turin club for the remainder of his career, Sky Sports has reported, despite recent speculation linking the Italy with a move to Manchester United this summer.

United are currently chasing Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas, but, along with several other European clubs, Marchisio is reportedly one of their other targets. And despite his desire to remain with Juventus, Marchisio is flattered by the interest. He said: “Every summer the possibility that I might go away is always talked about. I’m certainly glad that big European clubs are linked to my name.

Marchisio has spent his whole career at Juventus, with the exception of a loan spell at Empoli in the 2007/08 season. He has scored 28 goals in 212 appearances, and has gained 39 caps for Italy. And the 27-year-old is hoping that his long-term future lies at the Juventus Stadium.

He told Gazzetto dello Sport: “My dream is to still end my career with Juventus. Even if I know that in football, you never know.
