Suarez to try and force Liverpool exit to make Arsenal move

Luis Suarez’s proposed move from Liverpool to Arsenal is facing a crucial week, the Daily Mirror has reported, with the Uruguay international to attempt to force his way out of Anfield and to the Emirates Stadium in the very near future.

The Suarez camp is considering legal action and taking their case to a Premier League tribunal in an effort to compel Liverpool into agreeing a fee with the Gunners – the Suarez side feels the Reds made promises regarding the conditions of his sale that have not been kept, and that Suarez should be allowed to join Arsenal for £40m as per a clause in his contract.

Liverpool however insist that the clause does not mean they have to accept an offer of more than £40m for the forward; rather they only have to inform Suarez that such an offer has been made. Liverpool have been firm in their stance that Suarez is no for sale while the newspaper adds Arsenal will not up their bid – at least not until Suarez’s representatives have made the next move.

Brendan Rodgers, the Liverpool manager, has spoken of his unhappiness with the London club over their conduct during the affair, but his counterpart, Arsene Wenger, pointed out that it has been Liverpool who made public the offers for Suarez, not Arsenal.
