Tottenham turn down QPR offer for Parker

Harry Redknapp has been busy in the transfer window with his Queens Park Rangers squad, but the veteran manager has seen one of his advances knocked back, as Tottenham have rejected a bid for Scott Parker Sky Sportsare reporting.

Speculation in recent weeks had suggested that Parker was becoming frustrated with the lack of clarity surrounding his position at the club, especially after the purchase of Paulinho from Corinthians.

Parker had also been the subject of much speculation linking him with a return to West Ham earlier in the summer. Redknapp is now mulling over whether to return with a second, improved offer for the 32-year-old. However the London-born boss is also likely to turn his attention to Liverpool’s Oussama Assaidi.

The 24-year-old Moroccan winger has not enjoyed much of playing time on Merseyside following his £2.4m summer transfer from Dutch outfit Heerenveen last year. Redknapp is reportedly willing to offer the player a release from his Liverpool frustrations, with a loan deal in the Championship.
