Ramsey has six goals for Arsenal this season after netting in the Champions League win at Marseille, following up on his weekend brace at Sunderland. Wenger claimed that a midfielder in better form might be hard to find anywhere in Europe. “I don’t know if anybody is playing better,” Wenger said. “For me, I don’t look at it like that. Aaron is playing well and that is most important, so is that he continues to improve.
“Honestly, I didn’t expect him to score so many goals,” Wenger added. “He’s especially improved in his passing, his technical quality. He was always in good positions in the box, but scoring is a bit cyclic.”
Ramsey’s goals have helped the Gunners record 10 away wins in a row, with the Wales international netting this season against Fenerbahce, Fulham, Sunderland and Marseille. Arsenal have also risen to second in the early Premier League table, a point behind leaders Liverpool, having not lost since their opening day home defeat to Aston Villa.
