Swansea travel to London this weekend to face Crystal Palace on the back of their dazzling three nil victory away to Valencia in the Europa League.
Michael Laudrup saw his Swans make their European bow in style, and a strong performance will no doubt have fired up the whole squad coming into this fixture. Michu and Wilfred Bony found the net for the Welsh side and will now be looking to score goals on a regular basis after a quiet start. It will be a key test for Laudrup to maintain his side’s concentration in the less glamorous surroundings of Selhurst Park.
Ian Holloway’s side sit in the relegation places, and there will not be too many that are surprised by this fact. However, they have points on the board and gave a good account of themselves away to champions Manchester United. And some may point out that their opposition were in their position only two years ago – promoted via the play offs and trying to adjust to life in the big time. While this season will be tough for them, some home form could stave off relegation.
Kagisho Dikgacoi is suspended and misses Swansea’s visit. Jerome Thomas is on his way to recovery and may feature, but Joel Ward is likely to miss out. Glenn Murray, Jonathan Williams and Yannick Bolasie remain sidelined.
Ashley Williams is a doubt for Swansea, while Pablo Hernandez looks likely to remain uninvolved as he continues to recover from a hamstring problem.
