Serie A champions Juventus are to step up their attempts to sign young Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj and are preparing a January bid, according to the Daily
Januzaj has made two substitute appearances so far in 2013-14 after impressing new manager David Moyes in pre-season. Man Utd and Januzaj are struggling to agree on a new contract, and Juventus boss Antonio Conte is reportedly keen on opening negotiations with the teenager as soon as possible.
Juventus have begun to register their interest in Januzaj after hearing news of the contract stalemate. The 18-year-old is seeking to be more of a regular in the Man Utd first-team, the newspaper adds, and he is hoping to gain more assurances from the club’s hierarchy.
The difficulties in tying Januzaj down have persisted since April, when Sir Alex Ferguson was still in charge at Old Trafford.
The Turin side, who signed Paul Pogba from Man Utd in the summer of 2012, face competition from Barcelona and Manchester City for the highly-rated Belgian, although sources representing Manuel Pellegrini’s side have denied the speculation.
