Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado has praised his new teammate Christian Eriksen after the Dane produced an impressive performance on his full debut for the club after joining from Ajax, the Daily
Playing in an attacking midfield role behind Soldado, the lone striker, Eriksen was highly influential as Tottenham produced a dominant display to beat Norwich City 2-0 on Saturday. The 21-year-old helped create both goals, finished off by Gylfi Sigurdsson, and left the field to a standing ovation when substituted in the second-half.
And Soldado, another of Tottenham’s summer recruits, was impressed by Eriksen’s showing, also praising how quickly he has adapted to English football. The former Valencia star said: “He is a brilliant player. It’s incredible that he has got up to this level already in his first game in English football.
“It’s great for him, for the team. He is a player who is capable of improving all of us. He is a player that makes everything look easy and that’s good for us. Today he made the difference, he’s a player that can support us in everything we do. He can offer us a lot of passes to everyone who plays in attack for Spurs.
Prior to joining Tottenham, Eriksen gained considerable experience in Amsterdam making 163 appearance and scoring 32 goals. Despite his young age, he also has 39 caps for Denmark.
