Wales forward Bellamy considering retirement

Veteran striker Craig Bellamy has hinted that he is thinking about retiring at the end of this season. BBC Sport are reporting that the Wales and Cardiff City striker is ready to hang up his boots.

Bellamy spoke after winning his 75th cap in Wales’ 2-1 defeat to Macedonia in Skopje, stating: “The way I am feeling now, I believe this could be my last season. I have so much to look forward to outside of the game.

The 34-year-old front man has threatened retirement from at international level before and admits that he could have a change of heart. However, he also wants to ]spend more time with his children, as Bellamy has claimed that as a single parent it is difficult to see his kids, but travelling to foreign lands with the national side and being away for up to10 days is not a lifestyle he wants to continue.

The Cardiff striker has also stated that he is pondering a move into management. He currently holds an A license and is waiting to carry out the training to obtain his professional license.
