Fresh from suffering their first league defeat of the season, Everton will be hoping to return to winning ways when they host Steve Bruce’s Hull City.
Despite going ahead at Manchester City, Everton were beaten by the better side although at least one penalty decision perhaps failed to go their way. Roberto Martinez has still enjoyed a fine start to his Goodison Park reign, with striker Romelu Lukaku providing them with a real cutting edge with four goals in three games.
Hull have made a great start to life back in the Premier League, with their only defeats coming away to Chelsea and Manchester City. Their home record is likely to prove crucial to their survival chances, but last time on their travels they emerged with all three points from Newcastle United. However, their previous two visits to Everton have been far from successful.
Gareth Barry, who Everton perhaps missed at the Etihad Stadium, returns, although Darron Gibson picked up a potentially season ending injury on international duty. Steven Pienaar and Antolin Alcaraz are also sidelined.
The Tigers will still be without injured duo James Chester and Robert Koren, but top scorer Robbie Brady could play after recovering quicker than expected from a hernia operation.
