Manchester United boss David Moyes is set to swoop for Roma and Bosnia midfielder Miralem Pjanic for £25m, reports the Daily
Pjanic is expected to cost the Red Devils around £25m, with the move to be pushed through in January. Pjanic has been an influential part of the Roma side, who currently sit top of Serie A with nine straight wins. Roma are highly unlikely to want to sell the 23-year-old, but a generous offer from the Manchester club may be too good to refuse.
It has been the impressive creativity that has attracted the attention of scouts from Old Trafford, with the playmaker’s talent proving pivotal to Roma’s success. But the Italian giants will attempt to persuade Pjanic to sign a new five-year deal to keep him at the club for the long-term.
It is understood that Moyes’ main transfer target for next year is a creative midfield player, a category that Pjanic fits perfectly into. Since joining Roma in 2011, Pjanic has made 66 appearances, scoring nine goals, whilst scoring eight goals in 45 games for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
