Chelsea midfielder Ramires has insisted that he is happy at Stamford Bridge after speculation linked him with a move to Real Madrid, writes Sky
The 26-year-old, whose contract still has nearly four years to run, has been the subject of mounting transfer talk in recent weeks, but he has told Brazilian media that he has received no contact from the Spanish giants, but admits that he is flattered by the rumours.
He said: “Nothing has come to me, I have just heard about this through the press. My agent hasn’t told me anything either. Maybe it is just speculation. I am focused on my work, one can’t talk about something that he knows nothing about.”
“It’s good for the ego (to be linked with Real), it’s a sign that people somewhere like your work. I am under contract until 2017 and I don’t want to leave while there isn’t anything happening and I am happy in the team. I will only leave if the club wants me to. I feel have adapted well.”
Ramires has now spent over three years at Chelsea since being brought to the club by Carlo Ancelotti – now in charge at the Bernabeu – in 2010. In that time, he has made 163 appearances, scoring 26 goals.
