Sergio Aguero has insisted that if Manchester City are to win the Premier League title, they must improve their away form, writes Sky
The City forward knows they have the squad, but costly errors on the road must be amended if they are to win the title this season.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side have struggled on their travels so far this campaign, losing to Cardiff City, Aston Villa, Chelsea and Sunderland, but have been in sensational form at the Etihad, in contrast.
But Aguero is aware that the title can be won and lost in the smallest of margins, and City must raise their performances away from home.
“For me, Manchester City must fight all year for the title,” he said.
“We have the squad to win the Premier League and we need to be consistent. We must try to stop making mistakes away from home because at the end of the season it could make all the difference.
“At the Etihad Stadium, we are doing well. We are strong but away we must improve.”
Aguero has found the net eight times in 10 appearances in the Premier League this season, and has formed a working partnership with new summer signing Alvaro Negredo.
The 25-year-old has scored a total of 43 goals in 73 appearances since joining Manchester City, with a Premier League title and FA Community Shield added to his trophy cabinet.
