Cardiff City have enquired into the possibility of signing Wilfried Zaha on loan from Manchester United for the rest of the season, when the winter transfer window opens in the New Year, the
Zaha has been unable to break into the first team at Old Trafford after the completion of his move from Crystal Palace in the summer, making only one competitive appearance and starting the Community Shield in August. Manager David Moyes has confirmed he is willing to let Zaha leave on loan and the Bluebirds have registered their interest.
The 20-year-old played 77 minutes of United’s Capital One Cup win over Norwich City on Tuesday, helping Moyes’ team to a 4-0 victory, but would require more first team football if he is to force his way back into Roy Hodgson’s plans for England ahead of the World Cup. Zaha has two international caps to his name.
As well as Cardiff, the likes of Swansea City, Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle are said to be interested in signing Zaha for the rest of the season, while Crystal Palace attempted to bring him back to Selhurst Park for the entire season with an approach on transfer deadline day. Zaha made a total of 143 appearances for the Eagles, scoring 18 goals.
