Lowly Fulham take on Swansea City at Craven Cottage in what is likely to be a game that will help determine the fate of under-fire boss Martin Jol.
The three Premier League defeats Fulham suffered before the international break must have been painful to watch for the Dutchman, as they hardly managed a shot on target in visits to Southampton and Liverpool, and were 3-0 down after less than a quarter of the game at home to Manchester United. And with the squad showing a complete lack of mental strength, a growing number of supporters are calling for Jol’s dismissal.
Swansea have struggled for consistency this season, perhaps partly due to their Europa League commitments, but they were denied a fantastic comeback win against Stoke City last time out by a very debatable penalty deep into added time at the end of the game. Michael Laudrup will be looking for side to rise from their current position of 14th, and what may work in their favour is that they have won both of their previous Premier League visits to Fulham.
For the home side, Sascha Riether serves the second game of a three match ban, while striker Hugo Rodallega faces around a month out with a groin injury.
Swansea are still without Miguel Michu, who faces about two more weeks out, but Michel Vorm will return in goal following a red card suspension.
