Serie A outfit Juventus look set to make a cheeky move for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez in January, and could offer two players in exchange according to The
The Uruguayan striker was heavily linked with a move away from Anfield in the summer, but has rediscovered the form which earned him a reputation as one of the finest strikers in the world since agreeing to stay at Anfield.
However, with the Reds thought to be interested in Juve pair Claudio Marchisio and Leonardo Bonucci, the Italians are hoping to be able to broker a deal to take one of Arsenal’s top summer targets to the Juventus Stadium.
With Liverpool likely to refute any direct approaches for Suarez, Juventus have made the suggestion possibly as an indication of how highly they rate 27-year-old Marchisio and 26-year-old Bonucci.
Marchisio has recently been linked with a move to France to link up with former Juve boss Claudio Ranieri, but the Old Lady’s £25m asking price has proven something of a stumbling block in negotiations, paving the way for a potential move to Liverpool. He has also been the subject of some interest from the Reds’ Premier League rivals Man United and Chelsea.
While Liverpool could decline any such suggestion and approach Juve directly with an offer for one or both players, or whether or not they will be deterred by the Italians’ clear efforts to up the ante, remains to be seen.
