Two out-of-form sides, Swansea City and Stoke City, meet on Sunday looking to put some distance between themselves and the drop zone.
Swansea were disappointing as they lost the Welsh derby at the Cardiff City Stadium in their most recent Premier League encounter, a result which left them below their fierce rivals and just three points clear of third-bottom Norwich City.
Following that game, they suffered another major setback, with the news that Miguel Michu will be out for at least a month, so the pressure will be on Wilfried Bony to add to his tally of two league goals in the meantime, although he did manage to score against Kuban Krasnodar in the Europa League on Thursday.
Stoke have now gone seven games without a win in the Premier League, a run of form which sees them just a point clear of danger. Recently, their better performances have come away from home in games against Fulham and Manchester United, but they have no points to show for those displays. Scoring goals is also proving difficult, with goalkeeper Asmir Begovic their joint leading marksman after his goal against Southampton.
Swansea are likely to make several changes from their trip to Russia, and one of them will be in goal as Gerhard Tremmel comes in for the suspended Michel Vorm.
Visitors Stoke have no new injury problems, with American winger Brek Shea their only absentee for the trip to the Liberty Stadium.
