Victory for Manchester United at Norwich City will be their sixth in a row, and will have them right back into the Premier League title race.
Defeat against Fulham on Boxing Day was very costly for Chris Hughton’s team, who are now just three points clear of danger in what is a very tight bottom half. Although the winner from Scott Parker was a wonderful strike, some of Norwich’s defending against the Cottagers was disappointing, particularly for the Fulham equaliser, as the defensive wall for Pajtim Kasami’s free-kick was highly disorganised.
Man Utd will be wary of this trip, as they lost at Carrow Road last season, and also mindful of the difficulties they had in seeing off Hull City on Boxing Day. It was undoubtedly a fine comeback, but the champions rode their luck late on. Wayne Rooney though continues to produce wonderful performances, scoring his 150th Premier League goal for the club on Humberside.
Norwich will be without injured duo Elliott Bennett and Anthony Pilkington. Michael Turner is suspended, and Jonathan Howson faces a late fitness test.
Antonio Valencia is unavailable for Man Utd after his sending off at Hull. Robin van Persie is still out, as is Phil Jones, while Rafael da Silva is a doubt.
