Pulis hoping to bring Stoke striker Crouch to Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis is hoping to sign five players during the January transfer window, with Stoke City striker Peter Crouch among his list of targets, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Pulis, who brought Crouch to the Britannia Stadium as manager of Stoke back in 2011, has been guaranteed funds for the January window as he looks to save Crystal Palace from the threat of relegation. Currently, the Eagles are second from bottom in the Premier League, three points adrift of safety.

The Welshman is keen to sign the experienced Crouch, whose contract runs until the end of next season, and Stoke could be prepared to listen to offers as they look to sign a striker themselves in the New Year.

The England international, who was reportedly close to rejoining Queens Park Rangers at the beginning of the year, has struggled to score goals regularly for the Potters since joining from Tottenham. So far this season, he has just one Premier League goal to his name, which was against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Pulis is expected to be joined at Crystal Palace by two members of his coaching staff at Stoke, David Kemp and Gerry Francis, although existing assistant manager Keith Millen will remain with the Eagles.
