Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has described this season’s Premier League title race as ‘unbelievable’, after his side’s draw with Arsenal on Monday meant the top five sides are separated by just two points.
Victory at the Emirates Stadium would have taken Arsenal back to the top and five points clear of the Blues, but as it is, Liverpool lead the Premier League on goal difference ahead of the Gunners, with Man City a point behind on 35, and Chelsea and Everton both on 34.
After the game, which contained few chances as both sides largely cancelled each other out, Mourinho told BBC
“Manchester United and Tottenham are not in this top four but they should be. We are completely alive, especially if you compare it with this point last season where Chelsea were 11 points behind.”
On the current situation regarding the fight for the title, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger added: “It is interesting. The most consistent team will come out on top.”
