17-year-old Barcelona starlet Antonio Sanabria has reportedly agreed terms on a deal with a new club after turning down the Catalans’ offer of a new deal, and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is thought to be an admirer, according to The
Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo claim that a foreign side have agreed a deal to take Sanabria on, and with Arsenal’s track record of taking highly rated and talented youngsters from Barcelona have strengthened the belief that they are indeed the club in question.
Sanabria’s contract at the Camp Nou runs until 2015, but he reportedly wants a move away before then owing to a lack of playing time at the club, and with no guarantees on offer either it is believed that a new challenge could help him prove his growing reputation and potential.
He has already earned his first cap for his native Paraguay, making his debut in August against Germany.
He has made 8 appearances for Barcelona B, having debuted in September, and has scored two goals since.
