Arsenal right-back Bacary Sagna could join Galatasaray in the summer, after the Turkish giants offered him a £4.1m per year wage package, according to the Daily
Sagna’s current contract comes to an end in June, and while Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen to tie him down by offering an extension, the Frenchman is now able to talk to foreign clubs over the possibility of moving on a free transfer in the summer.
The 30-year-old Sagna has been a regular throughout his time at Arsenal, who he joined from Auxerre in 2007, making 261 appearances and scoring five goals. Despite that, his efforts have failed to help Arsenal win a trophy, and he has been linked with several other clubs including Monaco and Paris St. Germain.
Galatasaray, who are now led by former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini, have reportedly offered Sagna a four year deal and a wage rise as they hope to tempt him away from the Emirates Stadium, where his future is far from certain.
Currently second in the Turkish Superlig behind arch rivals Fenerbahce, Galatasaray have former Chelsea star Didier Drogba, and Wesley Schneider already among their ranks.
