Yohan Cabaye will join Paris Saint-Germain from Newcastle on Wednesday after a medical has been completed, L’Equipe
The French publication claims Cabaye will cost PSG €20m up front with a further €3m bonus, working out as just over £16m and a bonus of just under £2.5m.
Cabaye had been in London with his Newcastle teammates prior to travelling to Norwich for Tuesday evening’s Premier League fixture, but flew to Paris to speak with the capital club. The 28-year-old will sign a three-and-a-half year contract, having moved to Tyneside in the summer of 2011.
Cabaye won the Ligue 1 title with Lille prior to moving to Newcastle and made 93 appearances for the Magpies, scoring 18 goals. Newcastle are currently eighth in the Premier League table, seven points short of a top four place.
PSG won the Ligue 1 title last season and this year are three points ahead of Monaco, with one defeat in their last 10 league games. PSG are also still involved in the Champions League and play Bayer Leverkusen when the competition resumes.
