Crystal Palace midfielder Barry Bannan has admitted that he is not happy with his lack of first team football and is tired of sitting on the sidelines, according to Sky
The 24-year-old signed from Aston Villa in the summer but has completed a full 90 minutes just twice under boss Tony Pulis, but he has vowed to win his place back.
“Obviously I am not happy about not playing,” said the Scot.
“But I’ve just got to keep working hard and hopefully my chance will come again.
“I appreciate the fans backing and, of course, no one is going to be happy when they are not playing.”
Despite only making 17 appearances and scoring one goal, the midfielder is determined to prove his worth at Selhurst Park and believes he can keep his side in the Premier League.
The Scotland international also admitted that although he prefers to play in a central area he is happy to help his team in whatever position he is needed.
Bannan started the FA Cup game against Wigan on Saturday and will be hoping to retain his place when the Eagles side host Hull in the Premier League on Tuesday.
