Liverpool have dismissed reports linking Raheem Sterling with a January move away from Anfield out of hand, reports Sky
With the Reds thought to be in the frame to sign FC Basel winger Mohamed Salah, the media have linked Sterling with a loan move to Swansea in an effort to maintain his first team experience.
Liverpool assistant manager Colin Pascoe, however, has vehemently denied such stories, stating that Sterling has been too impressive for Liverpool for manager Brendan Rodgers to even consider letting the 19-year-old leave, even temporarily.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Pascoe said: “We just laughed at that really. Raheem has been brilliant this season. He won’t be going anywhere.”
Sterling has played 15 times this season for Liverpool, and has added to his performance contribution by popping up with three goals along the way. Overall, he has made 41 appearances thus far for the red half of Merseyside, scoring five goals.
He also made his England debut in late 2012, starting in a friendly game away at Sweden.
