Manchester United manager David Moyes has confirmed that midfielder Marouane Fellaini is edging closer to a return from injury after several weeks out of action, ESPN
The Belgian, who arrived from Everton last summer, has not played for the Premier League champions since early December, when he was on the losing side against his former club. During that time, he has been forced to undergo wrist surgery, and he was originally expected to be on the sidelines until February.
However, talking to MUTV ahead of his side’s huge game against Chelsea on Sunday, Moyes has revealed that Fellaini’s return to training is imminent. He said: “Fellaini will have the cast taken off his hand on Monday. It was a serious wrist injury which needed a major operation.
“It was bad. He had to make sure he got it sorted properly otherwise it might have affected him for the rest of his life. He has been able to do lots of running and lots of training but nothing with a football. Hopefully next week we will get him back.”
