Tomas Rosicky has insisted Arsenal have what it takes to win the Premier League title this season, Sky
Rosicky feels the Gunners’ team today are better equipped to compete at the top of the table than they have been in recent years, pointing to the way in which they recovered from a stuttering December and the preponderance of experienced players in the squad.
“It was a bit bumpy when we lost against Manchester City and drew against Everton,” Rosicky told the official Arsenal website. “But you will always have phases like that in a year so that’s nothing new.
“This team has more experience than it did in the past. We have (Per) Mertesacker, (Mesut) Ozil, who won things in Madrid and the other experienced boys like Mikel (Arteta) and (Mathieu) Flamini.
“Plus the English boys are not kids anymore, they gained experience through the years of playing here so that’s why I think we have the maturity to do it this year.”
Arsenal are currently a point clear of Manchester City and 11 ahead of defending champions Manchester United. It will be 10 years come the end of this season since Arsene Wenger’s side claimed the title, finishing the 2003-04 campaign 11 points clear of Chelsea.
