League One strugglers Stevenage will be hoping to cause a major FA Cup shock on Saturday by knocking out five-time winners Everton.
Graham Westley’s team find themselves bottom of a League One table that is almost as tight as the bottom half of the Premier League, and their problem this season has been their failure to score enough goals. They stunned Championship club Doncaster Rovers in the third round, however, and they do have experience of pulling off cup giantkillings, as Newcastle United were their victims back in 2011.
Everton come into this after arguably their worst 45 minutes of the season at West Bromwich Albion, where they allowed the home side to come back into the game. The result meant that the Toffees failed to capitalise on Liverpool’s failure to beat Aston Villa on Saturday, and they now slip to sixth in the Premier League. And they do come into this tie as the underdogs, at least according to manager Roberto Martinez.
Darius Charles and Oumare Tounkara could come in for Stevenage, who were unfortunate to lose to Notts County last time out.
Steven Pienaar and Seamus Coleman are both slight doubts for Everton, who are also without Darron Gibson, Ross Barkley, Arouna Kone and Gerard Deulofeu.
