Stoke City and Cardiff City have completed a swap deal for Kenwyne Jones and Peter Odemwingie, Sky
Odemwingie moved to Wales last summer from West Bromwich Albion, while Jones joined the Potters in 2010, having previously played for Sunderland and Southampton. He played on loan at Stoke in 2005 and had a loan spell with Sheffield Wednesday.
Jones scored 28 goals in 117 games in his permanent tenure with Stoke, scoring three in 13 when on loan. He has a total 88 goals in 318 games dating back to his Southampton debut in 2004-05.
Odemwingie was born in Russia but played international football for Nigeria. The 32-year-old came to prominence with Lille before returning to the country of his birth, signing for West Brom from Lokomotiv Moscow in 2010.
His time at West Brom ended unhappily when a move to Queens Park Rangers was blocked in January 2013. Odemwingie made 15 appearances for Cardiff, scoring twice. He had previously scored 31 goals in 89 games for the Baggies.
