West Ham have completed the signing of AC Milan midfielder Antonio Nocerino on loan, according to Sky
The deal will see the Italian move to London for the rest of the season, as manager Sam Allardyce bids to strengthen his squad and help the Hammers avoid relegation.
As previously reported, Nocerino’s fellow Italian Marco Borriello seems likely to be following his compatriot to the club, and is due in London to thrash out the terms of his transfer from Roma.
The 28-year-old made his debut for Italy in 2007, and has so far earned 15 caps for the Azzurri. He has featured only 11 times in Serie A this season, and had been reportedly seeking a temporary move away from the club – a call which Allardyce looks to have been more than happy to answer.
He started his professional career at Juventus in 2003, having been with the club’s youth system since 1997. He spent several seasons out on loan before moving to Palermo in 2008, where he stayed for three successful seasons before securing his move to the San Siro in 2011.
